Alysson Bourque is a bestselling, award-winning children’s book author who began her career as a teacher after graduating from University of Louisiana Lafayette with a degree in Elementary Education. She earned a Juris Doctor law degree from the Southern University Law Center in 2007. Alysson is the author of eight books in The Alycat Series with two more on the way. Angie Kay Dilmore relocated from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2007. Enchanted with the region’s waterways, flora, fauna, and unique French culture, Cajun muses inspired her to write Bedtime Lullabayou, her debut children’s book. Angie has been writing and editing for various magazine markets since 2000. More recently, this nature lover and award-winning author may be found creating stories from a small camper in a pristine park somewhere. She currently lives in Lake Charles with her husband and two cats.

Jennifer Blackburn is a teacher, author, and co-founder of Odd Sky Books, an indie press in Lake Charles, Louisiana. By day, Jennifer guides young adults toward their HiSET diplomas; by night, she writes stories of hope and resilience. Her breakout memoir, "This Time I Choose Me," chronicles her journey from domestic-violence survivor to advocate and has inspired companion journals, workshops, and a relationship series rooted in 1 Corinthians 13. When she isn't teaching or writing, she's mentoring writers, cooking comfort food, photographing Gulf-coast sunsets, or hiking local marsh trails--always believing that every story is a compass pointing toward healing and hope.
